I love wild mixes of flowers and color. By late spring-early summer the garden is a riot of color and shapes. One of my favorite color combinations is blue and lime or apple green. It looks so fresh.

The flower here is echium 'Blue Bedder' (it reseeds!) mixed with a mint relative that emerges dark green with mauvey blotches and matures to lime green with darker green blotches. I don't remember where I got it or what it's called and I have not seen it at a nursery since. Pale lavender flowers show up later in the summer. It sends out underground runners and is a bit invasive but it's easy to pull out. In the hot summer sun it fades to light green but still looks good. Amazing stuff.

I agree with you that your blue and lime green makes a gorgeous arrangement. Now you know I will have to try it :)
Lovely combo. Blue Bedder is available at Annie's Annuals
