Already Longing For Spring

There is nothing in the garden worth taking a picture of so I went back through my pictures and found some beauties. (Or Bettys as Chloe calls them). I'm sorry I don't know the names of these impatiens. I got them at Annie's Annuals. This pink one is really more of a mauve color. Not as bright as this photo shows. It grows to about 3'.
This yellow impatient and the salmon one in the bottom right corner bloom for 5 months or more. It is still blooming but the cold nights made it drop most of it's leaves so it doesn't look too good.

These impatiens are lavender and white. They get about 2 ' tall but if they are pinched they grow to about 1". They are prolific reseeders. They come up all over the garden but are easy to pull out. Looking at my old photos makes me long for spring time. I usually spend the coldest winter months looking at catalogs and on line at all the plant store web sites fantasizing about redoing the entire garden in the spring. Of course I don't redo the garden every spring and I'm always grateful for the reseeders that fill in the holes that I don't have time to.
