After a very warm, dry January we have finally gotten some rain although we are far short of our 'average' rainfall for the year.Still, the garden (and the gardener) are delighted.
Hellebores unfurl their dusky, mysterious blooms, the 'Anna' apple tree is covered with a froth of pink and white - and a lone Alonsoa blooms bravely out of season.

Gorgeous photos Chloe. I know you all need rain so congrats on returning to normalcy!
Oooh, I love your photos. More please...
Your Anna apple is blooming already? I'd better go look at mine; I don't think its blooming yet. Lovely pictures!
I know you got that Alonsoa at Annie's Annuals. :)
Yay, rain!!!

Anne,
The poor tree is very confused. One year it bloomed in October - after some early rain and then a heat spell.
(Also, it's on a warm and sunny bank)

Chuck,
You are right. Nothing beats Annie's for really lovely stuff.
The first year I went to her nursery (after reading about it on-line) my heart was actually pounding with excitement as I looked around at everything.
